The CGGVeritas Group is the world’s leading international geophysical company delivering a wide range of technologies, services and equipment throughout the global oil and gas industry.

CGGVeritas, on behalf of its regional subsidiaries, is now recruiting for two major long-term Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) seismic crews in the Middle East. These fully offshore operations, located in the Saudi waters of the Gulf and managed through a fleet of vessels, will operate the latest Sercel SeaRay® 4C equipment and CGGVeritas deployment and positioning systems.

Job Objectives With a key role on the seismic crew, you will be responsible for recording the seismic data in accordance with contract specifications.

Main activities
 Assess personnel and equipment resources needed to satisfy contract specifications,
 Check the quality of seismic records in close co-operation with the seismologist and the client,
 Manage electronic equipment and maintenance,
 Set up the technical organization of your team.

Job Requirements
 BSc Degree or equivalent
 Excellent electronic skills
 Seismic experience in Shallow Water/OBC crews or any offshore experience would be appreciated. Knowledge of Sercel recording systems would be an advantage.
 Excellent communication skills with proven leadership capabilities. Ability to work abroad in an international environment and sometimes in challenging field conditions. Ability to work as a team player with a spirit of initiative.
