The CGGVeritas Group is the world’s leading international geophysical company delivering a wide range of technologies, services and equipment throughout the global oil and gas industry.

CGGVeritas, on behalf of its regional subsidiaries, is now recruiting for two major long-term Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) seismic crews in the Middle East. These fully offshore operations, located in the Saudi waters of the Gulf and managed through a fleet of vessels, will operate the latest Sercel SeaRay® 4C equipment and CGGVeritas deployment and positioning systems.

Job Objectives As a mechanic you will be in charge of the maintenance of all mechanical equipment (compressors, air guns, cable deployment systems and marine engines) on our crews.

Main Activities
 Maintain and repair mechanical equipment,
 Manage spare parts inventories,
 Supervise the work performed by junior staff and provide them with technical support,
 Ensure that health, safety and environment procedures are implemented and followed.

Job Requirements :
 Relevant maritime experience as a mechanic,
 Valuable experience as a mechanic working on high pressure compressors and marine engines with strong hydraulic and welding skills,
 Excellent fault diagnostics skills, and ability to generate practical solutions,
 Excellent communication skills with proven leadership capabilities. Ability to work abroad in an international environment and sometimes in challenging field conditions. Ability to work as a team player with a spirit of initiative.
